I would like to the first to congratulate Chris Monroy on his first NEBA title today at Brockton. He won on a tough condition as the low cut scores indicate.
Chris is one of the most dedicated and hardest working people I know, both in his profession as a lawyer and in his bowling.
His win is most deserved and now that he has the first, the next will not be far behind.... :D

To Brendan, Goof, Scott and Autopsie- Please accept a heartfelt thanks for all of your very kind words. Quite frankly, after Saturday, I was ready to hang up bowling for a little while because I was getting frustrated and was losing confidence in myself. Honestly, I am still in a state of shock right now at the win. Miseno is a tremendous player having won multiple times at the PBA level and I really didn't think I had much of a chance against that caliber of champion. He deserved the win just as much as I did and he will get his NEBA title very shortly. Likewise for Ollie Ellard who but for an untimely solid 10 in the 11th, would have been bowling for his second title.

Again, it is rare for a lawyer to be at a loss for words but I truly don't know what else to say except thank you.

I want to give props to Nathan Crouse who made his first finals this weekend and had a tremendous showing in the finals. He bowled exceptionally well and I predict good things for him in the not too distant future.

And yes Goof...I did not forget \"the gravy\" or should I say...\"da gwavyyy\" Also...\"Uweeka...gold at wast!\"

Congrats Chris, Great bowling as always. Can't say you were my pick to win, but you beat my pick to win, Miseno. He rolled over me with a 267 game. Great bowling.

Congratulations to a guy who earned his title the old fasioned way, lots of hard work, dedication and a dash of talent and luck thrown in. I know the doubts and frustrations you've over come, I know how badly you've wanted to be one of the elite, a Champion in your own right.

Your desire and willingness to do what it took made you a champion long before this, now you have the title to validate it.

Congrats.

Again, to everyone, a sincere thank you. To MBlanchette, when I got to the final round, I was not my own pick to win either! Again, Miseno bowled like the true champion that he is...the only difference was that I was fortunate to get the 10 pin to fall a little better than he did.

To KellyV- I know that you know my past and where I come from. You and I bust on each other but you know that I have tremendous respect for you and your accomplishments as I do for your son's accomplishments. Your words mean a great deal to me and I just want to again say thank you to you. I still remember vividly the conversation (or should I say lecture from you to me!) we had back in the summer of 2003 during league at East Providence Lanes. I guess that you were correct.

It is truly humbling to read everyone's kind words. I have never experienced something like this and please know that I am grateful for everyone's congratulations.
