Qualifying Squads: Saturday 3:00PM & 6:00PM and Sunday 9:00AM & 12:30PM

Agenda for the Annual Meeting on Sunday, December 20, 2009
Westgate Lanes at 9:30 a.m.

Must be at start of meeting to have all privileges. All Members can vote and are encouraged to attend.

Those who attend the meeting are guaranteed a spot on the 12:30 squad.

AGENDA:

3. Proposed Bylaw Changes:

Change: requirement of a Board Member at Large to apply “in writing to NEBA President by December 31” -to- “must submit in writing his or her interest to the President no later than one week before the annual meeting. At the annual meeting, the President shall appoint members at large with the advice and consent of the board. All Applications shall be retained as official NEBA records.”

Add: “and 20 days prior to the November tournament” to “Annual Meeting bylaw changes must have been submitted to the Secretary/Treasurer for publication in the November newsletter.”

In Requirements for Tournament Sites, remove: c-Meeting room and g-Bowling center staff support.

Add: If there is a change in the Tournament Director or an Officer during the middle of the year, the President may appoint the individual leaving the position to the Board of Directors with the approval of the board.

4. Proposed Tournament Rules

Increase the entry fee to $85, eliminate the at-large cut, eliminate the senior cut, change the squad cut from 1:6 -to- 1:5, change the tournament director salary from $350+$1 per entry -to- $3 per entry, change the secretary/treasurer salary from $350+$1.50 per entry -to- $3.50 per entry, change paying the bowling center per game -to- paying the bowling center a fixed amount per entry of $12, $13 or $14, guarantee first place at $2,500, guarantee the last cash spot at $150 and decrease expenses from $9 -to- $8 ($3 for TD, $3.50 for S/T, $1.50 for special tournaments & postage).

Change the tournament director salary from $350+$1 per entry -to- $3 per entry, change the secretary/treasurer salary from $350+$1.50 per entry -to- $3.50 per entry and change paying the bowling center per game -to- paying the bowling center a fixed amount per entry of $12, $13 or $14.

5. Run a special tournament or two in 2010 with the proposed tournament changes above.

6. Allow doubles teams to defend their title. One time only. The team that won the baker tournament defends their title at the next baker tournament and the team that won the regular format tournament defends their title at the next regular format doubles tournament.
