Match Play????

Postby michbowl » Wed Jul 19, 2006 3:51 pm

How much time do you think it is fair to throw a delivery in a match play situation????

How many lanes do you need to throw a delivery????

just a thought....

An active pair to either side.

Within a minute after one of the following, opponent finishes on left lane, putting tape in a ball or re-racking.

Too fair, not fair enough?

match play

I agree with the one active pair (PBA style lane courtesy). As far as how long to prepare and deliver your shot, if you don't know what you are going to do by the time you get on the approach, the 3 or 4 minutes you are standing there isn't going to help.

Pick up your ball, take your stance and throw the darn thing. Bowling isn't a thinking man's game, at least not on the approach.

Kelly,

Could not be more planner than that..... However lately they're are some indivivduals who must have at least 2 pairs right and left and cosistently get on the approach and back off.....This is unacceptable and the Tournament Dir. should be on top of this....

Russ -

You have vehemently brought to my attention one person who is slowing things down on the lanes. I listened to you and hope the \"problem\" can be resolved before you feel the need to \"make things even\" on the lanes.

If there are other bowlers who are demanding excessive lane courtesy, please let me know their names.

I want to make sure I properly execute my duties as tournament director.

I had already spoke to you about this and just a simple statement to the bowlers involved to have a little courtesy and try to speed things up is all I'm asking...

I not looking to make a huge issue out of this....I don't think I'm asking something thats out of line....

Your staff and the preperation that NEBA has at every Tournament is 2nd to none...

Thank you for your time....
