HUGE shout out to New England bowling legend Bill Webb for his win at the Ideal Bowling Concept open singles NEBA on Sunday, which also solidified his win of the $10,000 Paul Forry Memorial challenge!

Bill took home an additional $2,000 for his $10,000 Paul Forry Memorial Cup win. Thanks to the Forry family, the $10,000 Paul Forry Memorial Challenge will BE BACK FOR 2024!

Bill had his work cut out on Sunday, as he qualified 39th out of 40 bowlers into match-play by winning a one-game roll-off against Amando J Villa for the spot. Bill now ran the ladder through six rounds of match-play for his 21st title and the 2023 Champion of the Paul Forry Cup. 

During the six rounds of Match-play, Bill defeated Frank Bachard 230-194, then Jayme Silva Jr 198-172, into the third round against Colby Hagemoser 224-177. Moving on to the fourth round, he defeated Kevin Thibeault 236-186 to now face veteran Chris Monroy and defeated Chris 238-216, moving Bill to the Championship match against a tough Dennis Bissonnette. Dennis and Bill are still alive in the Paul Forry Cup Challenge, so there was plenty on the line. Bill won the match over Dennis 222 to 194 to capture title number 21 and the Paul Forry Cup. Bill took home $1,200 for the NEBA Title, plus a paid entry into the 2024 SPI TOC and $2,000 for the Paul Forry Cup Challenge, while Dennis earned $850 for his second-place finish in the tournament and $1,550 for second place in the Paul Forry Cup Challenge.
