After careful discussion, the following decisions have been made regarding the 2026 East Coast Sports Investors Doubles, which was shortened due to weather.
The event did not complete as planned, with no finals contested, and there was a competitive imbalance for the portion of the event that was completed.
Because of this:
• No HOF points will be awarded, as no title is being awarded.
Points:
• Everyone that bowled will receive their 5 points for participation.
• Tournament leaders will receive their bonus points, as qualifying was completed.
• Even though the finals did not happen, we did have the teams that would have made the finals and that were paid out. These teams will receive additional points equivalent to first-round loss points.
Free Entries:
• The free entries will be awarded to Martell and Chris, as they finished first in the shortened event.
• This was part of the planned payout, and Chris may use his entry for the Non-Champions event.
Vincent Hall Memorial Cup Series:
• Following Bruce’s recommendation, this event will count as a Vincent Hall qualifier, with the top 4 teams advancing.
• This allows the series schedule to remain intact for the rest of the season.
Future Rules Clarification:
• The Tournament Committee will update the tournament rules to clearly define what constitutes a completed event vs. a shortened event, ensuring there is no gray area moving forward.
Defending Champions (2027):
• In 2027, both the 2025 and 2026 teams will be allowed to defend.
