*Buddies Pro Shop Open Singles*

Event #1061
**179 Entries | 40 Match Play Finalists**
**Pattern:** 2023 USBC Masters (46’, Sport)
The Buddies Pro Shop Open returned to Nutmeg Bowl as one of the premier stops on the NEBA calendar, drawing 179 entries and delivering a weekend full of high-level competition on the demanding 2023 USBC Masters pattern.
Known for its length and flat ratio, the pattern required precision, patience, and disciplined execution. While high scores were possible, the condition consistently punished mistakes, forcing players to stay sharp throughout qualifying and finals.
This event also served as a Vincent Hall Memorial Cup Series qualifier, with the top eight finishers advancing toward the $10,000 season-ending prize fund.
After a grueling eliminator-style finals, **Ryan Ladlee emerged victorious**, capturing his **first career NEBA title**.

### CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH RECAP
The title match featured two players chasing their **first NEBA title** — Ryan Ladlee and Tyler Sudell.
Ladlee relied on a reactive ball, while Sudell used urethane to control the demanding condition.
From the start, Ladlee looked composed and focused. His **consistent pre-shot routine** kept him grounded, allowing him to execute under pressure. He opened with a strike to set the tone.
Sudell struggled early with light hits and was forced to adjust quickly.
After an early split, Ladlee reset calmly, trusted his routine, and stayed composed. A key double shifted momentum and applied pressure.
Sudell made adjustments but was hurt by a big 4 split, which proved to be the turning point.
Ladlee never wavered. Even after a ringing 10 pin, he stayed committed to his process. Strikes in the eighth and ninth frames sealed the match before the tenth frame.
Sudell finished with a late double, but it wasn’t enough.
With the win secured, Ladlee delivered one final strike and celebrated his breakthrough moment:
**“Finally!”**
