Power Outage Does Not Affect NEBA Schedule

  • Nov 3, 2011
A record breaking October snow storm brought a record breaking power outage in the state of Connecticut. The host of our November singles tournament, Laurel Lanes in Plainville, was in a town which was 99% out of power for days. The NEBA Officers contacted centers looking for a backup in case we needed to move our location. This was not an easy task since most centers in that area were also out of power. Restoration for Plainville was announced as Sunday night. Luckily, the center manager, Frenchie Gilbert, called this morning to say that Laurel Lanes has power and they are looking forward to having us there this weekend. Thank you to Frenchie for keeping in close contact with us and also to the other centers who came forward to offer their center in case we needed to move.
