  • Jan 8, 2017
2016 Bowler of the year Ryan Graywacz won back-to-back titles, again, for his fifth title in the last eleven months. The 24 year-old won his first title last March then went on to win three more times and dominate the points in 2016. At the Cambridge Credit Counseling Invitational, Ryan received a bye into the second round then shot 1116 to earn the #9 seed in the bracket. The right-hander defeated Chris Viale 248-175, Michael Cimba 269-267 and #1 seed Bill Holota 224-205 in the first three rounds of match play. He tied Joe Scianna with 217 in the semi-finals then won a 9th and 10th frame roll-off 46-39 to advance to the championship match. Ryan won the final match 289-149 over 16-time champion Bill Webb for the $3,000 first place prize. Bill won $1,600 for his runner-up finish. Cambridge Credit Counseling Corporation added $3,500 to the prize fund in addition to the $3,943 added by NEBA which equals $1 per every entry in 2016. Thank you to Cambridge Credit Counseling for their continued support and for making this event such a success.
