We are happy to announce a partnership with Pinwheel as our new tournament reservation system for events.
As some of you may have noticed, there has been a change to our web-based reservation process. Going forward, NEBA will be utilizing the Pinwheel system for tournament registration.
Why did we make this change?
This change is designed to streamline our registration process for eventual integration with the NEBA proprietary software. AND it provides a redundancy system to mitigate entry loss in those times where the website may be down.
How does this change things for me, the bowler?
Utilizing Pinwheel does have a few more steps for registration, but these steps will ensure we receive your reservation and provide you with means to pre-pay for your registration using a debit or credit card.
Does this change the way NEBA accepts tournament entry fees?
Yes. With this change, Cash App and Venmo will cease to be payment options. You can pay with a debit or credit card via Pinwheel (a service fee will apply), or you can select the CASH option and pay when checking in on site.
Why do I need to provide my USBC number?
NEBA is upgrading our software system to utilize your USBC number as your unique identifier for the NEBA software and database. This will ensure when you register, you are properly recognized in the system and assigned points appropriately.
Will I still receive confirmation e-mails?
Yes. Pinwheel’s system will generate confirmation e-mails, and their system works with Gmail users who were having issues previously receiving the confirmation e-mails.
Does this change when entries close?
No. Pre-registration entries will still close at 10:00pm EST on the Friday prior to the event.
Thank you for your continued support of NEBA. If you have any questions, please contact any member of the NEBA board for clarification.
Thank you, NEBA member and owner of Pinwheel, Michael Reale for this opportunity.
